Just like every year, I’m wondering what your kidnappers have organized for your birthday, if anything has been organized at all.
Had you been with me, you would have had a great birthday party with your friends, and another one with our family. You would have had a lot of fun, and you could have opened all your presents in front of your mom.
This year, I don’t even know if you received any presents. I don’t know if you were able to see your friends, have fun with them.
I do know, however, that you weren’t allowed to speak to your mom. I know you weren’t allowed to open the presents she gave you, or even read the birthday card she got you.

Know that I haven’t forgotten your birthday, and all your gifts are still awaiting you, here in France.
I remember your birth in Lyon, in a very good hospital. It took you two days before you decided to show your little self, so I waited patiently. And since then, you’ve been able to spend a beautiful birthday with me, the first and only one.
As always, the people who kidnapped you and who are holding you hostage prevent me from speaking to you and seeing you. This is why I keep on fighting for your rights, and today is no exception.
The only exception is that today should have been a special day for you, and I fear it isn’t that special.
Gifts from your parents for your 8th birthday Alia Bouklachi
Today you are 8 years old, and you haven’t seen your mom for 6 and a half years. This is your father’s gift to you this year. He has been gifting you this situation every year since he kidnapped and hid you abroad.
My main gift to you as a mother is my battle for you, this year again.
I will not quit searching you, nor will I stop fighting for your rights. Right now it’s the most important present I can give you, but I hope you can soon receive much more tangible gifts from your mom.
