In March, let’s celebrate women with Alia

March 8th is International Women’s Day. So in this year, I decided to show Alia that even though she’s been abducted, she can become whoever she wants.

I can’t see Alia, and therefore can’t raise her as I would like to

I am unable to raise Alia because she has been kidnapped and her raptors refuse to let me talk to her. But that will never stop me from wanting the best for her, and from giving her the best I can.

I keep on fighting for her to have access to the knowledge she will need later in life.

That’s why I intend to introduce her to some of the greatest women of history this March.

March, women’s month

In March 2023, let’s celebrate women everyday ! We’ll be presenting one wonderful woman a day on Alia’s Instagram page until the end of the month.

This way, Alia will find 31 short descriptions of a woman whose journey has been significant in today’s world. Women who could be a model for a young girl like her. (Alia has no role model at the moment, as she hasn’t been allowed to see her mother in years.)

My hope is to bring her a new vision of the world with these daily Instagram posts.

An eclectic crowd of women to vary choices for Alia

The main goal is for Alia to make beautiful discoveries. I picked women coming from very different background, with equally varied passions, from art to sciences, through to literature or human rights. I want Alia to have a large range of role models to pick from. I want her to see what a wonderful life she can have, even though her present is dark and sad.

There’s hope for Alia Bouklachi, as always

Alia’s kidnappers are relentlessly trying to steal every right she has, but I relentlessly stand up to these criminals. Alia will have her life back, and allowing her to open her mind is one of my duties as a mother. The fight for her rights goes on.

As you know, I want to share everything’s that’s not confidential about Alia’s story, and her education is part of it. This is why I’m happily sharing this new project with you !

I hope you like it, and as always, if you want to take part and share you feminine role models, don’t forget to tag #aliabouklachi !

Sharing is helping Alia Bouklachi find her mother.

If you know anyone in Algeria, please share her story, so that one day she can get her life back.

You can share our story both in English or in French and feel free to check out our social media !
