Why this blog about Alia Bouklachi?

My name’s Eileen, I’m Alia Bouklachi’s mum.

I write this blog for her. Alia was abducted on December 4th, 2016 by her father. She was then taken to Algeria, never to be seen again. I have been looking for her ever since.

In this blog I want to show what parental abduction is, how it happens, and what consequences it has on children.

Over the 365 days of 2021, 545 parental abductions were reported, just in France ! And yet, we never hear about them. It’s time someone tackles this.

But above all, I am doing this blog for Alia.

I want her to be able to access her story when she’ll look for answers to her questions.

I’ll write about each step I’ve made towards getting my daughter back to France.

I want her to be able to see how much we all fought for her to get her rights back. I want her to be able to see for herself that she was never abandoned by her mother, despite what her kidnappers might be telling her.

Sharing is helping Alia Bouklachi find her mother.

If you know anyone in Algeria, please share her story, so that one day she can get her life back.

You can share our story both in English or in French and feel free to check out our social media !
